Giving Back
ADC is actively engaged in charitable causes in our community, our schools, and in organizations that promote our economy and our industry. The following is a sampling of organizations that we have contributed to recently.
Adopt-A-Highway
ADC has adopted a two-mile stretch of Cty. Hwy. T as part of the Adopt-A-Highway program.
American Cancer Society
Nancy Shuester, American Cancer Society, presents Jim Ward an award for sponsoring "Shufflin' Shoes" in the Relay for Live event.
American Heart Association
ADC Sponsored Colton Ward, son of CEO Jim Ward, at the annual "Jump Rop for the Heart" fundraiser. Colton, a second grader at Elk Mound Elementary School, was the top pledge-getter for his school.
Beaver Creek Reserve
A contribution was made to Beaver Creek's Annual fundraiser to help with efforts to provide informational environmental education classes and programs for visitors of all ages.
The Beverly Family Foundation
The Beverly Family Foundation was established in May 2006 by Eric and Danielle Beverly after Danielle fought and won her third battle with the disease. The site was established to help other breast cancer survivors and the family members who love and support them through what can certainly be called - the battle of a lifetime.
ADC has donated hosting services to BeverlyFamilyFoundation.org in loving memory of a family member who lost her battle with breast cancer.
Boxes for Soldiers
ADC contributed pens, mechanical pencils and notepads for soldiers serving overseas.
Eau Claire Cavaliers
ADC contributed to the Cavaliers Baseball Fund as a Children & Special Groups Sponsor for the upcoming Eau Claire Cavaliers Baseball Assoc. season.
Chippewa County Land Conservancy
ADC donated $1000 to the Kemper Woods Project Fund.
Chippewa Valley Technical College
ADC recently contributed to the Shawn Sillman Memorial Scholarship. Shawn, March 10, 1984 - June 12, 2010, was a talented artist and enjoyed custom painting for auto body. He received his auto body repair and refinish degree from CVTC in 2006. The scholarship will provide students like Shawn with the opportunity to attend school and further their careers.
ADC has nine graduates from CVTC. It sponsored a table at their annual banquet to honor graduates and to support the CVTC Foundation.
Feed My People Food Bank
ADC employees are once again contributed to the “Giving Tree” this holiday season. Items were donated to Feed My People Food Bank.
Festival Turkey Trot
Ron Bruder, VP/Director of Technology and his wife, Kristen, ran in the 3rd Annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, which raised money for the Boys and Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley.
Habitat For Humanity
Sponsored travel to the Mississippi Gulf Coast with Habitat for Humanity through Thrivent Financial to build homes in January.
Junior Achievement
ADC donates hosting and maintenance to the Junior Achievement site yearly.
Kicks for a Cure
The Elk Mound High School Dance Team participated in "Kicks for a Cure" for the American Cancer Society in February. ADC sponsored Hannah Marcott, daughter of Susan Marcott, Marketing Director. Hannah, a sophomore at Elk Mound High School, kicked 847 times, the second highest number of kicks.
Literacy Volunteers of The Chippewa Valley
A six-person team from ADC participated in a Scrabble Bee fundraiser to raise money for the Chippewa Valley Literacy Volunteers. The ADC “Word Warriors” placed 1st overall. This is the third consecutive year that ADC has sponsored a team.
ADC also redesigned The Literacy Volunteers website, www.lvcv.org, free of charge to help promote literacy in the Chippewa Valley.
New Life Organization
For Christmas 2009 ADC staff started collecting donations on December 1 for children, families, and nursing home residents. ADC then estimated the dollar amount of the donated items, and matched it with a monetary donation to the New Life Organization. GiveNewLife.org
Relay For Life

Financial Contribution
Stockings for Santa
Becky Krumrie, Financial Analyst, hand-decorated 17 stockings to bring some joy to area nursing home residents.
Wisconsin Land Information Association
ADC has a strong involvement in the Wisconsin Land Information Association for many years. From conference sponsorships and logo designs to committee involvement and workshop presentations.
